Santiago Jose Fernandez

Beloved husband to Juliette and father to Allison and Patricia.

Santiago was adored by his loving grandchildren Olivia, Adan, Karina, Sara, Patrick; and grandpets to Churro, Zahara, and Panchita.

Santiago is also survived by his brother Manuel. He was also a loving uncle and granduncle to all of his nieces and nephews.

Santiago was a man who traveled the world but happiest at home surrounded by his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.

He was a man of few words but spoke volumes through his actions. He had unlimited time, energy, patience, and most of all love for his family; playing soccer and games with his grandchildren and laughing with his daughters until the end. Santiago was his family’s anchor; a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His honor and love guiding him and his family.

A visitation will be held at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, located at 2005 West 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11223, on September 21, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The funeral mass is scheduled for September 22, 2025, at the Church of Sts. Simon & Jude, 185 Van Sicklen St, Brooklyn, NY 11223, from 9:45 am to 10:30 am.

Cremation will take place on September 22, 2025, at The Green-Wood Cemetery, 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
