Vincent Michael Caruso, dearest husband of Florence, loving father of Elizabeth, Martha and Vincent David and his wife Laura and their daughter Alexandra, died on May 13, 2014. He was born in Brooklyn and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and then became a reservist for the United States Navy. He graduated from New York University and went on to work as an actuary for the City of New York. Throughout his life, he was passionate about crafts, especially woodworking and stained glass. After his retirement, he became an instructor of stained glass at the UFT Learning Center for Retired Teachers. He loved spending time out on the North Fork of Long Island as he did at his home in Park Slope, filling his days with creative projects, Italian language classes, gatherings with his wine-tasting club and church community, among many other activities.
His kindness, gentleness and generosity will be remembered by everyone who knew him.
