Mrs. Beverly Janice Sackett Lawson

Beverly J. Lawson age 85 of Brooksville, FL, died at her home on Monday June 9, 2014, with her daughter at her bedside. A five year resident coming from Tampa, FL. where she lived for more than 20 years. She was born to George and Edna (Mutch) Sackett, in Philadelphia, PA. She retired from her career as a professional bookkeeper from 7M Construction Company in Oldsmar, FL. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends, crocheting, and playing bingo. Beverly also had a very special love for animals. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Donald G. Lawson, also by her brothers, George Sackett and Winfield Sackett, and sister Elaine Horner. She is survived by daughter and husband, Claudia and Peter Burrage, of Townsend, TN. a granddaughter, Erica Williams and husband Jayme, of Cairo, GA. great grandson, Jayme Williams, Jr. and great granddaughter, Evelyn Williams, both of Cairo, Ga. She is also survived by close nieces, Janice Cope and Brenda Beck, close nephews Kenneth, George and Bobby Sackett and by sister-in-law, Robbie Ward. A special word of thanks goes out to her caregiver, Jody Wreyford. Beverly was Lutheran by faith, and she was a long time past member of the Tampa Florida Red Hat Society. A Committal Service will be held at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery, where she will be placed next to her husband Donald. In lieu of flowers Beverly’s family requests donations be made in Beverly’s name to the SPCA of Hernando County, 9075 Grant Street, Brooksville, Florida 34613.
