Ellen is survived by her beloved spouse of nearly 65 years, John “Jack” Soppit; her children, John (Christine), Greg (Nancy), and Donna (Andy); her grandchildren, Sara (Martin), Jordan (Stephanie), Holly, Matthew (Brittany), Jamie, and Connor; her great-grandchildren, Maverick, Emma, Mila, and Joy; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.
Throughout her life, Ellen touched many hearts with her generosity, kindness, wisdom, and cheerful spirit, as well as her unwavering dedication to family and friends. Her love of birds, flowers, dogs, and time spent at the family cottage will remain forever in our memories.
In accordance with Ellen’s wishes, no formal service will be held. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Centre d’accueil Marcelle-Ferron for their compassionate care and support over the past several years.
