

It is with deep sadness and loving hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Deacon George Anthony, born on January 24, 1930, in Trinidad and Tobago, and who left us on March 30, 2026, in Quebec, Canada, at the remarkable age of 96.
George is lovingly survived by his son Elsworth Anthony, his daughter-in-law Iveth, and cherished by his remaining siblings.
Throughout his long and purposeful life, George touched the hearts of all who knew him through his generosity, quiet wisdom, and unwavering devotion to family and community. A faithful servant of the Catholic Church, his dedication to his congregation was a defining thread of his life. He was equally at home in his workshop, where his love of woodworking produced lasting works crafted with patience and pride. These gifts, his faith, his hands, his warmth will be remembered and carried forward by those he leaves behind.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday, April 16, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Maison Darche, located at 7679 Boulevard Taschereau, Brossard, Quebec, J4Y 1A2.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Church, 7900 Avenue Naples, Brossard, Quebec, J4Y 1Z9.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne and the team at Chartwell Légende Résidence in Greenfield Park for the exceptional care and kindness they provided during his final months.
