Pierrette Cayer (née Levasseur)

Pierrette Cayer (née Levasseur), of Trois-Rivieres, drew her last peaceful breath at home on August 25, 2024 after a long and full life, surrounded by love and comfort until the end. A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes brightened the world around her.

She had a profound love for life, and her family. She loved travelling. Her adventurous spirit took her to many corners of the globe, embracing every experience with a sense of fun that was contagious.

Her greatest pride and joy was her family, nurturing every child with boundless affection. Her home was a haven of warmth, love, laughter, song and flowers.

Though our hearts ache with her loss, we find comfort in the thought that she is now reunited with her beloved husband of 61 years, the late Jacques Cayer. Together again, may they continue their journey hand in hand, their love story an inspiration to those who knew them.

Deeply missed by her children Renée (Pierre Lépine), Allan, Luke (Janice Robinson), Julie (Michel Lafontaine), and Andree (Roger Huber), her grandchildren Sébastien (Mindi), Emilie, AnnaLee (Dimitri), Adam, Angélique, and Emmanuelle, and her five great-grandchildren Mia, Louka, Zak, Zoé and Alaia, as well as her siblings Paulette (feu Jean-Marie Landry), Nicol (Thérèse Lavigne), Madeleine (feu Remi René), and Carole (Georges Leblanc), and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her siblings Michelle (Roger Bédard), Claudette (Gratien Laliberté), Roch and Claude.

Funeral service to be held on Sept 22, 2024 at La Maison Darche 7679 Taschereau Blvd, J4Y 1A2 (near Rome blvd). Visitation will begin at 13:00, followed by a celebration of her life in the chapel at 15:30.

Pierrette Cayer (née Levasseur), de Trois-Rivières, nous a quitté sereinement à son domicile, le 25 août 2024 après une longue et pleine vie, entourée d'amour et de réconfort jusqu'à la fin. Une mère, grand-mère et arrière-grand-mère bien-aimée, son beau sourire et ses yeux pétillants illuminaient le monde qui l'entourait.

Elle avait un profond amour pour la vie et pour sa famille. Passionnée de voyages, son esprit aventurier l'a menée aux quatre coins du monde, embrassant chaque expérience avec un plaisir contagieux.

Sa plus grande fierté et sa plus grande joie étaient sa famille. Elle a nourri chaque enfant avec un amour sans bornes. Sa maison était un havre de chaleur, d'amour, de rire, de chansons et de fleurs.

Bien que nos cœurs souffrent de sa perte, nous trouvons du réconfort en pensant qu'elle est maintenant réunie avec son mari bien-aimé de 61 ans, feu Jacques Cayer. De nouveau ensemble, puissent-ils poursuivre leur voyage main dans la main, leur histoire d'amour étant une source d'inspiration pour ceux qui les ont connus.

Elle laisse dans le profond deuil ses enfants Renée (Pierre Lépine), Allan, Luke (Janice Robinson), Julie (Michel Lafontaine) et Andrée (Roger Huber), ses petits-enfants Sébastien (Mindi), Emilie, AnnaLee (Dimitri), Adam, Angélique et Emmanuelle, ses cinq arrière-petits-enfants Mia, Louka, Zak, Zoé et Alaia, ainsi que son frère et ses sœurs Paulette (feu Jean-Marie Landry), Madeleine (feu Remi René), Nicol (Thérèse Lavigne) et Carole (Georges Leblanc), ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux. Elle est précédée par ses frères et sœurs Michelle (Roger Bédard), Claudette (Gratien Laliberté), Roch et Claude.

Les funérailles auront lieu le 22 septembre 2024 à La Maison Darche située au 7679 Boul.Taschereau, Brossard, Qc, J4Y 1A2 (Près du Boul.Rome). La visite débutera à 13h00, suivie d'une célébration de sa vie dans la chapelle à 15h30.
