

Alfonso was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas where he remained at the time of his passing. Mr. Padilla served six years in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge upon the completion of his duties. He proudly served as a member to The Alhambra Alva Caravan #91 from 1977-2002.
Mr. Padilla is preceded in death by his parents Cruz and Alfonso Padilla.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Socorro Padilla; his two sons, Sergio (Yadiri) Padilla and Xavier (Yanira) Padilla; two granddaughters, Natalie Marie Padilla and Victoria Shanelle Padilla; sister, Eva Garza; and brother, Joe Padilla of Bayview, Texas.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 4:00pm to 10:00pm with a Rosary at 7:30pm at Funeraria Del Angel.
Mass of Resurrection will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 9:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by committal service to follow to Buena Vista Burial Park.
