Alicia U. Medrano, age 65, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away on March 26, 2026. Born July 31, 1960, Alicia “Lee” U. Medrano was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, friend, and neighbor who dedicated her life to her daughter and family, always choosing to be present in every moment that mattered.
To her daughter, she was more than a mother, she was her biggest fan, her safe place, and her greatest source of love. Alicia was selfless, kind, and deeply compassionate, a great listener who always looked out for others before herself. She lit up every room she entered, leaving behind a warmth and love that will never fade.
Alicia was survived by, Leslie Medrano, only daughter, MariaElena Ramírez, sister, Paul Rodríguez, brother, Steve Rodríguez, brother, and Sylvia Rodriguez, sister. Many wonderful nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, friends and her one and only aunt.
Alicia was preceded in death by her mother, Guadalupe V. Rodriguez; step father, Faustino Rodriguez; biological father, Elias Urbina, and husband, Miguel Medrano.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, on April 1, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. A Rosary will be held there on April 1, 2026, at 7:00 pm. A Chapel Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista on April 2, 2026, at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, on April 2, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be Paul Rodriguez, Steve Rodriguez, Mario Beltran, Macario Beltrán Jr, Joaquín Mejía Jr., Robert Ruiz, Jeremy Alemán, and Jaime Martínez.
