Brenda H. Saenz

Brenda had a kind and loving heart. Brenda served her community by being a part of the Girl Scouts as a troop leader, she was a member of the J.C's and served as a president. She was also a part of the W. Jaycee's Brownsville Lions Club, WP.G.A. She contributed to the Boys Ranch and the American Cancer Society. She was the best step mother that we could ever have asked for.

Brenda is survived by her son Brian Ramirez Saenz; stepchildren Analisa Saenz, Manny (Paula) Saenz, Virginia Saenz (Steven Arispe), Robert (Stella) Saenz, Jorge (Blanca) Saenz and Marcos Saenz; grandchildren Jose Cano Saenz, Jalexandrea Ramos, Jarrod Saenz, Mia Saenz and Michael Saenz; great grandson Mateo Ramos. She also left behind her sister Deidren (Paul) Cantu and niece Michelle Femiano whom she loved as much as they loved her. Brenda also leaves behind her mother Bettie Hertel, siblings Carla Femiano and Chuck Hertel, nieces Laurel (Holten) Clanahan, Heather Cantu, Carissa Cantu, Hollie Cantu, Melissa Femiano, Kimberly (Lewis) Bejarano, Nicole Femiano, and Kelly Johnson; nephew Carlos Femiano.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Manuel H. Saenz, father Carlos LeeRoy Hertel and grandson Jacob E. Saenz.

Serving as pallbearers are Brian D. Ramirez Saenz.

A memorial service for Brenda will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a rosary at 10:30 a.m., eulogy at 11:00 a.m. and remembrance video at 11:30 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526. Following will be an entombment service at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526.
