Carlos graduated from Simon Rivera High School in 2014 and attended Texas Southmost College. He planned to return to his studies and complete his major in criminal justice, which he had a passion for. He was a member of the Raiders' football team. He was also an altar server at St. Luke Catholic Church for many years. Carlos was employed by the B.I.S.D. Security Department for two years. Carlos was a kind and respectful young man. Any and all who encountered him knew he was a "Gentle Giant". Unfortunately, November of 2017 Carlos was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He was a warrior all through this battle and always stood tall and strong.
Carlos is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Marcelino Salazar, paternal grandfather Hector V. Zamarripa, uncle Antonio Zamarripa, and cousin Antonio Zamarripa, Jr. Left to cherish his memory are
his parents Jose and Adela Zamarripa, brother Hector Zamarripa, sister Daniela Zamarripa, paternal grandmother Maria L. Zamarripa, maternal grandmother Maria del Socorro Martinez, girlfriend Angela Mondragón, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Serving as pallbearers Rolando Espino, Ediel Treviño, Artemio Romero, Bernie Garcia, David Barron, J. C. Aguilar, Luis Martinez, and Luis Javier Zamarripa.
Visitation will be held on December, Wednesday 26, 2018 from 10:00 am continuing to Thursday at 1:30 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Rose Lawn. Mass on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm at St. Luke’s Catholic Church followed by interment at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
