Celia A. Chavez

Celia Ayala Chavez 89, of Brownsville, TX. went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2017. She was born on October 28, 1927 in Falcon Lake, TX. to Jose and San Juana Ayala. Her life was devoted to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Bingo and gardening were her other passion and she had a larger than life presence.

Preceded in death by her husband of 66 years of marriage, Francisco; two sons, Joel and Rudolph and two grandsons, Andrew and Rudy Jr.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Dee (Steve) Tullos; sons, Leo (Anna) Chavez, Frank (Terry) Chavez, Noe (Diana) Chavez and Roel (Lupita) Chavez.

Visitation will be held from 10 am to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm Sat. Oct. 14, 2017 at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista.

Chapel Service will be held Sun. Oct. 15, 2017 at 10 am at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista with committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roel Chavez Jr., Dean Chavez, Michael Chavez, Frank Chavez III, Adrian Chavez and Allen Chavez. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Chavez and Noe Lee Chavez.

We will cherish all the Beautiful memories she left us. Her absence will be larger than her vibrant presence. You were our matriarch-our heart beat, you will always live in our hearts, until we meet again MOM..
