David A. Jones

David Jones was a veteran of the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country for over two decades. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the beach, riding his motorcycle or bike, and running marathons. He was also active in supporting youth and sports, becoming a coach for the Little Leagues, umpiring baseball, and refereeing basketball games.

David is survived by his wife, Delia Treviño Jones, his sons David Samuel Jones (Erica), Christopher Roberto Jones, Samuel Robert Jones (Jada), his siblings Ivonne "Bonnie" Gomez, Diane Rodriguez (Mike), Gloria Jones Rodriguez (Jose), Sam Paul Jones, Beatriz "Bea" Jones Salazar (Randy), and Laura Tamayo (Frank), and his grandchildren Samantha and Devin.

David was preceded in death by his parents Sam Jones ✝, Beatriz Jones ✝, his father-in-law Roberto L. Treviño ✝ and his mother-in-law Sara Medrano Treviño ✝, his brother-in-law Gilberto Treviño ✝, and his sister-in-law Orelia "Lele" Garcia ✝, Minerva "Mina" Lopez ✝.

A visitation for David will be held Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, TX 78521.

A mass will occur Monday, July 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1200 Lincoln St., Brownsville, Texas 78521.

A burial with military honors will occur Monday, July 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Serving as pallbearers are David Jones, Chris Jones, Sam Jones, John Garcia , Eric Gonzalez, Rey Treviño and Sam Paul Jones
