It is with profound sadness we share the passing of our beloved mother, wife, grandmother and friend, Dominga Espinoza Corona, who resided in Brownsville, Texas. She was surrounded by her loving family in her final moments on Wednesday, August 29, 2024, at the age of 80.
Everyone knew her as “Minga”! A woman who adored spending quality time with his family and friends. Her smile and jokes will never be forgotten and will be greatly missed. She will always be loved by her family and friends. She enjoyed teaching her grandchildren to love nature and played with them during the holidays.
She loved her family above all else, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. She was always there to offer his love, support, guidance and encouraged everyone to follow their passion (dreams). She had an ability to bring the family together and making everyone smile. She will remain forever in our hearts.
Besides being with his family, she loved spending time out in her little garden. She loves her roses, lirios, all types of plants. Her smile was so big and beautiful when she saw her flowers blossom. She was a unique mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by his father, Angel Espinoza; mother, Maria Cleofas Mendez; her baby son Domingo Espinoza, her brothers Santos Espinoza, Lino Espinoza and sisters Modesta Espinoza de Casarez, Tranquilina Espinoza de Reyes, Rafaela Espinoza de Rincones.
Left to cherish her memories is her beloved husband of 55 years, Ricardo Corona Alvarez, his children, Juan Ricardo Corona and Analinda Corona. In addition, she is survived by his four grandchildren; Angel Corona, Ivan Corona, Ruby Corona and Shawn Gasca: her sister Florina Espinoza de Lopez and Felipa Espinoza and countless of extended family & friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 1:00PM to 9:00PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00pm to 8:00pm in Chapel of Angels, within Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista located at 125 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will occur Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1200 Lincoln St, Brownsville, Texas 78521. with interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park at 3:00pm, 125 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as her pallbearers will be: her grandsons: Angel Corona, Ivan Corona, Shawn Gasca; nephews: Isamael Casarez Espinoza, Martin Cazares Espinoza, Angel Cazares Espinoza, Servando Paz Jr., Johnathan Flores.
Serving as her Honorary Pallbearers: will be her husband: Ricardo Corona; daughter: Analinda Corona; granddaughter: Ruby J. Corona; nephew: Carlos Corona; nieces: Alejandra Ferrusca de Corona, Aurora Vasquez Espinoza, Isabel Vasquez Espinoza, Gabriela Vasquez Espinoza.
