Eleno Solis Garcia

He is preceded in death by his parents, Aureliano and Inocensia Garcia; sister, Elena Garcia; brothers, Julian and Jose Garcia; wife, Olga Bryan Garcia; great grandson, Gabriel Garcia.

Mr. Garcia is survived by 3 sons, Eleno (Joann) Garcia, Jr., Javier (Patsy) Garcia, Jose Alfredo (Laura+) Garcia; 4 daughters, Olga (Edward) Stryker, Rosario (Walid) Alwagfi, Teresita (Conrado) Gonzalez, Sonia (Roy) Medrano; sister, Isabel Garcia Solis; brother-in-law, Lucio Mendez Mares; 23 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Eleno owned and operated Garcia’s Bakery and was well known in Brownsville for his exquisite pastries and delicious food catering; first delivering on his 2 wheel bicycle with a basket in the early days, then later incorporating and building his business with mobile vans.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Javier Garcia, Conrado Gonzalez, Conrado Gonzalez II, Roy Medrano, Lucio Mendez Garcia and Alfredo Mendez Garcia

Honorary pallbearers will be Eleno Garcia Jr., Ramon Lopez Jr., Amena Alwayfi, Jose Alfredo Gonzalez, Antonio Mendez Garcia, Clarissa Garcia.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

A chapel service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 9 am at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, Brownsville, Texas.

Interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
