Elvira Medina passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt whose life was centered on family and togetherness.
Elvira found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved most. Family gatherings, shared stories, cooking and laughter were especially dear to her heart, and she treasured every moment spent creating memories with her family.
She also enjoyed going gambling with her best bud, Linda Gonzalez—a friendship filled with fun, companionship, and many cherished moments that brought her happiness and laughter.
Elvira’s warmth, love, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy of love and togetherness will never be forgotten.
Elvira is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Medina Aguilar; grandsons, Juan Antonio Aguilar, Justin Aguilar, and Jason Aguilar; great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Aguilar; great-grandsons, A.J. Aguilar and Jeremiah Aguilar; brother, Gualberto Medina; and sisters, Carolina Medina and Angelica Wolfe. As well as many nieces and nephew.
She was predeceased by her father, Antonio Medina Sr.; mother, Maria Del Refugio Medina; brother, Antonio Medina Jr.; and sisters, Maria Luisa Adame and Juanita Medina.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, Chapel Of Angels, located at 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, on January 18, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 12:00 pm (next day), with a rosary at 7:00 pm.
The funeral mass is scheduled for January 19, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 1055 Military Rd. Brownsville Tx 78520. Burial will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, located at 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, on January 19, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
