“Time slips by and life goes on, but from our hearts you’re never gone. We think about you always, we talk about you too, we have so many memories, but all we want is YOU.” Elvira was a native and lifelong resident of Brownsville, Texas. Elvira was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. There are no words to express what a wonderful person she was to all she met. She will be dearly missed. She was a devoted wife and mother and lived a very humble life. She took great pride in raising her five children and we loved her the way she was. A big thank you goes out to all employees and nursing staff at Alta Vista Nursing and Rehabilitation Center who took care of her for the last 10 months for the wonderful care, love, affection, and professionalism. Thank you as well to Dr. Frances M. Gumbel, Dr. Eric Barron and all their wonderful staff. She battled from the terrible disease of Alzheimer’s for the last five years.
