

She was born to her parents, the late Angel Gomez and Beatriz Esparza Gomez on March 21, 1920. She was proud to say she was from the pioneer family from El Ranchito, Texas. She married the late Samuel Euresti on June 19, 1955. She was a dedicated mother to three children who will miss her strength and constant support. She was a devoted catholic who believed God was her constant guide in life.
Esperanza is preceded in death by her loving husband, Samuel Euresti; parents, Angel Gomez and Beatriz Esparza Gomez; and sisters, Eva Gomez Garcia and Felipa Gomez Villalon; and her brother, Santo Gomez.
She is survived by her children, Janie (Oscar) Olvera, Hope (Rosendo) Garcia, and Samuel (Irma) Euresti Jr.; grandchildren, Oscar Olvera, Crystal Jane Garcia, Allen Wes Garcia, Joseph Euresti, Samuel Euresti III; great granddaughter, Aribelly Bae Euresti; sister, Genoveva Gomez Garcia of Brownsville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives of Brownsville.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 28, 2014 from 11:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Prayer Service to be conducted at 7:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Mass will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 10:00a.m. at Immaculate Conception Cathedral (1218 E. Jefferson), followed by committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Allen Wes Garcia, Oscar Olvera, Joseph Euresti, Samuel Euresti III, Samuel Euresti Jr., Rosendo Garcia, Henry Villalon, Anthony Villalon, Willie Esparza, Mikey Esparza and Romeo Esparza.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Alejandro Macias, Romeo Esparza and Oscar Olvera.
