Born July 30, 1936, in Brownsville, Texas Felipe was the son of Felipe V. Trevino+ and Aurora Flores+.
Joined the Marines at age 17 (needed his father’s permission) and was shipped out to Korea at age 18. Proudly served his country for 3 years. Joined the Fire Department from 1966 till 1990. His most cherished accomplishment, ordained as a Deacon on May 5, 1985, in San Juan, Texas.
His assigned parishes include St. Lukes (2 years), St. Mary’s (10 years), Christ the King (10 years), Divine Mercy (5 years) and St. Joseph (5 years). Member of the National Association of Hispanic Deacons since 1986.
Survived by the love of his life Minerva Garcia Trevino, who he married on July 20, 1958. His children, Felipe G Trevino III+, Edwina T (David) Villarreal, Luis Carlos Trevino and Rene G Trevino. Grandchildren Desiree Christian (Juan) Ricarte, Michael Jordan Perez, Amanda Virginia Perez, Luna Raquelle Trevino and Sol Andreas Trevino. Great grandchildren, Kennedy (Gerardo) Hernandez, Giovanni (Gina) Rosas, Julieta Minerva, Joaquin Ricarte and Nero Pena. Great-great grandchild, Xander Cole, and two on the way.

A visitation will be held at the Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, Chapel of Peace, located at 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, on November 13, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm. A rosary will be held at the same location on November 13, 2025, at 7:00 pm.
A church mass will take place at St Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W St Francis St, Brownsville, TX 78520, on November 14, 2025, at 10:00 am.
Burial will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, on November 14, 2025, at 11:00 am.
