Felix Covarrubias, Jr. went home with our Lord and Savior on June 5, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born July 26, 1938, to Felix and Ramona Covarrubias in Matamoros, Mexico. Felix married the love of his life Aurora Garcia on November 26, 1961. Although he did not receive a formal education, he was the smartest man in any room. He could fix anything from vehicles to electrical and plumbing. There was not a problem that he could not resolve. He was not worried about awards and praise but was not afraid of hard work. Felix had a huge heart and would help anyone in need, even if it meant to give someone the shirt off his own back. He passed his work ethic, mental skills, and servant heart to his family. He guided his family in love and will be truly missed every day. He was extremely proud of his children Abel, Arturo, and Star, but his eyes would shine even brighter when it came to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Above all else, Felix fiercely loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Ramona Covarrubias, the love of his life Aurora, and his twin brother Jesus. Left to cherish his memory are his son Abel and wife Joanna Covarrubias. Son Arturo and wife Ruby Covarrubias. Daughter Star and husband Jamie Alcantar.
