Francisca was a devoted wife, a cherished mother and friend to all who knew her. She was the backbone to our family, known for her strength, resilience, sense of humor and loving heart. She enjoyed going to church, praying and singing gospel songs. She enjoyed being around her family, the warmth and the laughters always putting that beautiful smile on her face. Those are the memories she would love for us to always remember her by. We choose not to lose you, and instead to gain an angel. In our minds and hearts you are still present to this day. The hardest part isn't losing you, its learning to live without you. Rest in peace our sweet angel until we meet again.
Francisca is survived by her husband, Eleazar Velez, and her children, Eleazar Velez, Jr., Hector Velez, Paul Florentino Velez, and Olivia Contreras. She is also survived by her siblings, Jorge Rocha and Hilda Olvera. Her grandchildren include Eleazar Velez, Joseph A. Mora, Valerie N. Mora, and Olivia M. Mora. Her great-grandchildren are Alyk Parker, Salem Parker, Cash Parker, and Sergio L. Espinoza II.
She was preceded in death by her father, Florentino Rocha, her mother, Maria De Jesus Rocha, her brother, Florentino (Chino) Rocha, and her sister, Ofelia Soto.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, located at 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX, on November 9, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A prayer service will take place at the same venue on November 9, 2025, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A chapel service will be conducted at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn on November 10, 2025, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, located at 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX, on November 10, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Pallbearers will be Eleazar Velez, Paul Velez, Hector Velez, Hector Contreras, Joseph Anthony Mora, and Sergio Espinoza.
