

George M. Gomez passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of devotion to family and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a cherished son and brother.
George was a family man at heart. He took pride in being there for those he loved and found his greatest joy in time spent with family. His presence was steady, caring, and dependable—qualities that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He had a love for music, especially corridos, which often filled the air and reflected his strong cultural roots. George enjoyed taking walks at the mall, starting his day with a good cup of coffee, and relaxing while watching UFC. A proud fan of John Cena, he admired strength, perseverance, and determination—traits he carried in his own life.
In his younger years, George enjoyed visiting Mexico, where he built lasting memories and connections that remained close to his heart throughout his life.
George M. Gomez will be remembered for his kindness, his quiet strength, and the love he shared so freely with his family. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the stories, laughter, and memories held by those who loved him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, Chapel Of Peace, located at 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX, 78521, on January 23, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 12:00 am (next day) with a prayer service at 7:00 pm.
Continuous visitation will continue on January 24, 2026, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista in Chapel Of Peace.
