He was a very social person, he loved to be around family and friends. He loved to give everything he had and was happy when everyone around him was having a good time. He loved hearing music and drinking beer when he was young. As he grew older he quit drinking beer and gained a sweet tooth. He enjoyed eating cookies, chocolate cake and anything that was sweet. His favorite quote was "Vamos aver las chicas en bikini y no me recuerden a mi gorda."
Even though I walk through the darkest valley I will fear no evil for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me and my family through this hard times. The hope of heaven gives me peace. That's what i ask for all my family, peace. Your prayers have comforted us, your support has strengthened us and your love has sustained us. We extend our deepest thanks to everyone who has come to pay the respect.
Gilberto is survived by his wife Maria S. Arizmendi; his son Gilberto Arizmendi; his son David Alfredo Arizmendi; his son Sam Arizmendi; his daughter Griselda Arizmendi; his daughter Ana Ruth Arizmendi; his daughter Amanda Arizmendi; his daughter Petra Luz Arizmendi; his daughter Norma Arizmendi; his daughter Rosalinda Arizmendi; his daughter Ana Ruth Arizmendi; his daughter-in-law Lupita Arizmendi; his daughter-in-law Kizzy Arizmendi; his daughter-in-law Mary Lou Arizmendi; his son-in-law Ray Vasquez; his son-in-law Chris Hernandez; his son-in-law David Hernandez; and his son-in-law Francisco Javier Granados.
Gilberto was preceded in death by his first wife Emma Arizmendi †; his father Primitivo Arizmendi † and his mother Luz Arizmendi †.
A visitation for Gilberto will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM with a prayer service 6:00 PM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Monday, July 11, 2022 at 12:00 PM in Chapel of Angels, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
