Guadalupe Cuevas Flores, age 83, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021. Guadalupe was born August 1, 1938 to Maria Cipriana vda. de Jaramillo † and Benedicto Cuevas de la Peña †.

Guadalupe is survived by her sons Francisco Sanchez, Jose A Flores (Nora), Juan B Flores (Patricia), and Jesus T Flores (Rosa M.); her grandchildren Francisco Sanchez Jr., Jesus Armando Sanchez (Adriana), Johanna Francis Sanchez (Mito), Maria Sanchez, Elizabeth Sanchez, Dania De La Cruz Sanchez, Martin Cortez Jr (Kathy), Sandra Barrios (Juan), Jessica Flores Betancourt (Juan), Jose A Flores Jr, Abigail Flores Guzman, Lucy Olarntez, Georgina Garcia, Cristina Flores, Juan B. Flores (Vanessa), Jorge Flores (Patricia), Jesus A Flores (Carmen) and Maria Isabel Reyna.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by her husband Juan Castro Flores †; her daughter Reyna Juana Cortez †; her father Benedicto Cuevas de la Peña † and her mother Maria Cipriana vda. de Jaramillo †; her brothers Victor Nava Jaramillo † , Manuel Nava Jaramillo † , Antonio Nava Jaramillo † , Jesus Nava Jaramillo † and Alberto Nava Jaramillo †.

A visitation for Guadalupe will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A Visitation will continue Wednesday, September 01, 2021 from 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM in Chapel of Peace. A mass will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1200 Lincoln St, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, TX.

Serving as pallbearers are Juan B Flores, Jesus T Flores, Johnny B Flores Jr., Jorge Flores, Armando Sanchez and Juan Barrios.
