Lupita, was born in Tampico Tamaulipas, Mexico and lived in Matamoros with her family, her mother and her sister Antonia. She immigrated to the United States more than 50 years ago, living with her husband Mr. Jesus Castro and her 7 children. She was a pillar and lighthouse to everybody, a women of faith with a heart full of humility. She exemplified a holy fear of God and lived a life full of gratitude. She leaves a great legacy to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She now rests in God’s peace, and will be greatly missed by her loved ones.
Guadalupe "Lupita" is survived by her daughter Melva Castro (Juan E. Cervantes †); son Juan F. Castro (Carmen); daughter Tessie (Joseph) Lopez; daughter Julie Castro Stewart (Michael †); son Jesus (Jessica) Castro; daughter Marylou (Andrew M.) Delgado; sister Antonia Naranjo.
Guadalupe "Lupita" was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Jesus Castro; son Mr. Jose Antonio; mother Sra. Manuela M. Ornelas.
Guadalupe ''Lupita" Castro also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
A visitation for Guadalupe "Lupita" will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn. A chapel service will occur Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10:00 am at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn followed by a burial at 11:00 am at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526.
Serving as pallbearers are Juan F. Castro, Jesus Castro Jr., Jesus Esteban Cervantes, Juan Jose Garza, Andrew Delgado, Joseph A. Lopez, Anthony Lopez and Julian Castro.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Cristian Castro, Michael Stewart, John Castro, Carlos Cervantes, Dylan Cervantes and Xeth Cervantes.
