Guadalupe was a woman of Catholic Faith, strong character and very traditional with her Mexican roots. She had a good sense of humor but she was quick to speak her mind and throw a chancla. Guadalupe enjoyed socializing and playing loteria with family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Guadalupe is survived by her daughters Hortencia Barrera, Ofelia Torres, Juana Torres, Maribel Torres, Dora Torres, Esmeralda Martinez, her sons Hector Torres, Gustavo Torres, Pedro Torres Jr., Jose A. Torres, Eduardo Torres, and Alfredo Torres.
Guadalupe was preceded in death by her husband Pedro Torres Sr., her son Erasmo Torres and her daughter Ninfa Vela.
A visitation for Guadalupe will be held Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, Texas 78526. A chapel service will occur Friday, January 24, 2025 at 2:00 pm, followed by the burial at 3:00 pm at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, Texas 78526.
Serving as pallbearers are Hector Torres, Gustavo Torres, Pedro Torres Jr, Jose A. Torres, Eduardo Torres, Alfredo Torres, Samuel Torres and Joey Martinez.
