Hortencia Galvan was a loving caring mother, grandmother, and aunt. she enjoyed spending time with her loved ones especially her grandkids. She enjoyed going to the beach to relax and enjoy the breeze and a little bit of fishing from time to time. She loved working in her garden watering and trimming her plants. Hortencia was also an Elvis Presley fan. She has so many collections from coffee mugs to wall clocks and everything else in in between. she also enjoyed sitting outside during the afternoon hours doing her crossword puzzles and wouldn't miss her Mexican novelas during the evening hours. In her good ok days, she enjoyed vacationing and sight seeing. She will always be in our thoughts and carried in our hearts and will forever be missed.
Hortencia was preceded in death by her husband Santana Galvan (†); son Antonio Santana Galvan (†); father Sabino Molina (†) and mother Lucila Valdez (†); brother Pablo Molina (†); half brother Israel Sepulveda Valdez (†); half sister Leonor Sepulveda Valdez (†) and sister Elizabeth Mulkey (†).
Hortencia is survived by daughter Carol Lynn (Ronald) Escalante; daughter Belinda (Rick Campos) Galvan; son Michael Aaron (Jennifer Gonzalez) Galvan; and daughter-in-law Nora Galvan; sister Sylvia (Juan) Rodriguez and sister Ninfa Molina Valdez; grandchild Jenaro Hernandez Jr., grandchild Melissa Galvan, grandchild Jayson Escalante, grandchild Charles Ramos, grandchild Antonio Galvan Jr., grandchild Jaritza Galvan, grandchild Sara Campos, grandchild Michael Galvan Jr., grandchild Makayla Campos and grandchild Marco Galvan.
Serving as pallbearers are Jenaro Hernandez, Michael Galvan, Ronald Escalante, Charles Ramos, Jose Villareal and Antonio Galvan Jr.
A visitation for Hortencia will be held Monday, March 8, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11:30 AM, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521 followed by a burial at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, TX.
