Mr. Salinas worked for many years at Booth Fisheries and Carlingswitch. His love of carpentry kept him busy during his retirement years.
He leaves behind his wife of 66 years, Dolores G. Salinas; his son, Enrique (Minerva) Salinas; grandchildren, Rebecca Salinas (George), Deborah S. Fontenot (Prince), and Samuel E. Salinas (Sue-Mileny); and his great grandchildren, Aaron S. Hinojosa and Ryan Joshua Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2013, beginning at 11 a.m., and continue until 9 p.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at 7 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 7, at 10 a.m., at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell Dr., with the committal service to follow at RoseLawn Memorial Gardens.
