Lina Castillo

Lina is survived by her children: Jorge Luis Castillo (Minerva), Gerardo Castillo (Sanjuana), Gilberto Castillo (Martha), Jaime Castillo (Nilda), Santos Castillo Jr. (Maribel) and Lina Hilario (Enrique).

Lina was preceded in death by her husband Santos Castillo, her parents: Rogelio Garcia † and Guadalupe Herrera †; her siblings: Julio Garcia †, Olga De Los Santos †, Concepcion Garcia Chavez †, Flora Garcia †, Rogelio Garcia, Arturo Garcia.

Mrs. Castillo also left behind 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

A visitation for Lina will be held Thursday, March 5th, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7pm in Chapel of Angels, at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

A mass will occur Friday, March 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Rd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A burial will occur Friday, March 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Serving as pallbearers are: Jaime Castillo, Santos Castillo Jr., Jorge Castillo Jr., Gilberto Castillo Jr., Gerardo Castillo Jr., and Derek Hilario.
