She is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Agapita Cortez; Sister, Maria De Jesus Cortez; brothers, Alberto and Hilario Cortez.
Maria Paula Cortez is survived by her sons, Juan (Nora) Chapa and Jose G. De La Cruz; daughters, Maria Elena (Bill) Harris and Diana Cortez; grandsons, John Chapa, Eric Sanchez and Daniel Crews; granddaughters, Barbra Chapa, Jennifer Chapa, Suzette Lely Sanchez and Ruby De La Cruz. Maria also leaves behind numerous grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a Chapel Service to begin after Visitation Hours at 4:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista followed by Committal Service at Heavenly Grace Crematory.
