Maria Curiel

God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered "Ama, come to me" with tearfull eyes We all watched you and saw you pass away and although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Emilio Curiel (†); son Emilio Curiel Jr. (†); father Theodoro Cortinas Ramirez (†) and mother Maria Magdalena Muniz Lopez (†); sister Gloria Cortinas Muniz (†); brother Victor Hugo Cortinas Muniz (†); sister Evelia Cortinas Muniz (†); brother Maximiliano Cortinas Muniz (†) and brother Carlos Cortinas Muniz (†) and sister Maria De La Luz Cortinas Muniz (†).

Maria is survived by her children; Ofelia (Juan Garcia) Curiel, Ernesto Curiel, Leticia (Antonio) Vega, Alberto (Olga) Curiel, Rosa (Philip) Waterford, Manuel (Myrna Pedraza) Curiel, Odelia (Joseph) Petrarca; and Carlos Curiel.

A visitation for Maria will be held Friday, December 20, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A burial will occur Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Serving as pallbearers are Philip Waterford Jr., Eric Waterford, Brandyn Waterford, John Joesph Mancino, Benito Perez, Alfredo Perez, Karta Brim, Emrick Rodriguez, Ofelia Curiel , Ernest Curiel, Leticia Curiel, Alberto Curiel, Rosa Curiel, Manuel Curiel, Odelia Curiel and Carlos Curiel.
