She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo Garcia and Maria de Jesus Peña; sister, Consuelo Galvan; brothers, Alfredo Garcia, Ramiro Garcia Peña and Rodolfo Garcia Peña.
She is survived by a nephew, Felipe Galvan Garcia; nieces, Gabriela G. Martinez and Blanca G. Corral; and other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Cathedral, 1218 E. Jefferson St., Brownsville, Texas.
