For most, just the thought of losing a parent, is difficult, if not impossible, to comprehend. But for me, that nightmare is all too real.  I will never be able to hold your face in my hands and give you a kiss.  I mourn your death deeply, in my own private way, I take comfort from the strong faith in GOD, but the loss is still so overwhelming.  Getting through each day seems almost impossible. I pray that someday we will spend eternity together.  I hold you in my heart today and everyday I remember your smile.  I love and miss you mami.  It's me again!

My Mom was a sweet and humble soul...she taught me to love the beauty of life.  She was so creative just like an artist, a teacher to all of us, and a great Mom.  I miss her, but her memory reminds me what is important and that alone is a comfort every time I remember her.

Where do I begin to share a lifetime of gratitude? 
You were my mother, my friend, my prayer partner, my comforter, my advisor, my confidante, and my nurturer. Ever since I came into this world, you have cared not only for my life here on earth, but also about my eternal life. You and Abuelita (Cande) introduced me to Jesus, and He became my Savior. Because of you, I will spend eternity with you in heaven! I cannot think of a better gift than the gift of salvation. I will be forever grateful for the way you have raised me in the ways of the Lord and have led me to follow Him with all of my heart!
You were an outstanding Mom, and I cannot put into words how much you mean to me. Your love for me goes above and beyond what I could ever ask for. You have raised me in a godly way, and I only hope to be as good a Mom as you were.
I am so grateful for you staying at home with all of us kids when you could throughout our school years and beyond. Your influence has been extraordinary. I appreciate all of the time you invested into my life. Even before I realized it, you were praying for me. Prayers for everything from my health to school to career to a future husband. Only in heaven will you and I know the impact of those prayers in my life. You have given of yourself time and time again. You placed me before yourself even when I was not loveable. You have been a picture of Christ's unconditional love.
All through school, I always counted on, and sometimes took for granted, the lunches you made for me. I knew that you cared when you would get up early to make sure I had a great lunch to take to school with me. And I remember the times you would pack an extra-special dessert. I appreciate that daily sacrifice.
Over the years, you have helped me grow and mature into the woman I am today. You have given me room to explore and experience things on my own. But, you have also cared enough to set up boundaries with my best interest in mind. You have provided me with more than I could ask for in a family.
I have cherished the many family memories we have shared together, especially the family vacations and the one-of-a-kind experiences. I am so thankful for our family dinners where we could all be together, share a delicious home-cooked meal prepared by you, and talk about what was going on in our lives. Those dinners are one tradition I will certainly carry on in my own home.
There are so many things I want to thank you for, but here are just a few. Thank you for taking me to church and for praying with me to receive Jesus as my Savior. Thank you for caring for me when I was sick and in bed. Thank you for praying for me. Thank you for letting me cry and holding me until I was finished. Thank you for teaching me how to cook. Thank you for teaching me the value of character. Thank you for offering your advice. Thank you for your discernment. Thank you for teaching me how to find a bargain. Thank you for watching Novelas with me. Thank you for being my Mom.
Our relationship as daughter and mother was one of trust and friendship and a common bond in the Lord. I saw such an amazing change in you since you became ill. I saw you learn to love the way God loves us. Your example will be forever etched in my mind. I pray I can learn to love Robert and Brianna that way too.
I thoroughly enjoyed planning my wedding with you by my side. I could have not done it without you. You were valuable in the whole process. I will always cherish you cutting and curling and hand making all those beautiful bows of white ribbon for my wedding and traveling with them on your lap for six long hours instead of you placing them in the overhead compartment of the bus, as you were afraid of damaging them before I could see them and use them.  , I always imagined planning a wedding with you, and it was a blessing! Thank you for your prayers and your support. Thank you for your understanding. Thank you for giving me the wedding of my dreams!
Now, there we were on my wedding day and I felt I was leaving you that day, yet you were always close to my heart. You will always be my Mom. You were sending me into Robert's arms to start my own family. I am forever in debt to you for praying for my future husband. Your prayers have been answered, and I have the man God intended for me in Robert. Thank you for loving him and accepting him as your own. I am so grateful for your blessing over our marriage.
