Maria was surrounded by the love of her family and all those whose lives she touched through her kindness and caring heart. Maria was known for always helping others, never hesitating to lend a hand to anyone in need. Her generosity, compassion, and warm spirit made her someone people could always count on.
Maria proudly dedicated over 25 years of loyal service to Stripes, where she built lasting friendships and became like family to many of her coworkers and customers. Her strong work ethic and caring personality left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Outside of work, Maria enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, sharing laughter, and cheering on her favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers. Win or lose, she remained a proud and faithful fan throughout the years.
Maria will be remembered for her loyalty, strength, and the love she gave so freely to others. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone blessed to know her.
She is survived by her brother, Jose Antonio; her sister, Rose Mary; her brother, Santiago; her niece, Ma Carolina; and her nephews, Aiden Hernandez, Ryan Hernandez, and Logan Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Vasquez †; her mother, Maria Carolina Sada †; her brother, Jesus Renato Vasquez †; and her sister, Ma Veronica Vasquez †.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 7852, on May 23, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. with a Chapel Service at 7:00 pm.
