Meliton Villarreal

He worked for Brownsville Herald for many years.

Meliton is survived by his cousin Manuel Gomez (Rosie), his cousin Jose Luis Guerrero and his life-long friend Concepcion Alaniz.

Meliton was preceded in death by his father Meliton Villarreal † and his mother Rosa Villarreal †; his aunt Maria G. Garza †, his uncle Thomas Gomez †, his uncle Manuel Gomez Sr. †, his aunt Guadalupe Gomez Cruz †, and his aunt Hilaria Gomez Garcia †.

A visitation for Meliton will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a chapel service at 12:00 PM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at 1:00 PM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
