Miguel A "Mike" Hernandez

Mike was born February, 23, 1948 in Tampico, Tamps. He was married to Gloria for 38 years and together they had three sons; Mike, Jr., Oscar and Guti. Mike was a devoted husband, father and a hard worker. He always managed to provide for his family. Prior to his retirement, Mike worked for Brownsville P.U.B. for twenty years. Mike will be dearly missed by all his family and close friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Galdina and Agustin Hernandez.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Gloria of Brownsville, Texas; three sons, Mike, Jr., Oscar and Agustin (Guti) Hernandez; one grandson, Oscar Hernandez, Jr.; two sisters, Amparo Loya (Evaristo) and Teodula Castro; two brothers, Meliton Hernandez (Herminia) and Rudy Hernandez (Sylvia); numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 1 pm to 9 pm with a rosary service at 7 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Mass of Resurrection will be at 10 am on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1200 Lincoln Street, Brownsville, Texas.

Committal Service to follow at 11 am at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Hernandez, Jr., Oscar Hernandez, Agustin (Guti) Hernandez, Rudy Hernandez, Jr., Duane Hernandez, Joshua Hernandez and Milton Hernandez, Jr.
