Con profundo pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Petra Estela Perez, quien partió de este mundo el 30 de diciembre de 2025 a la edad de 69 años. Petra nació el 21 de abril de 1956 y residía en Brownsville, Texas.

Petra estuvo casada durante 50 años con su esposo Enrique Perez, reflejando su compromiso, amor y entrega a su familia.

Petra disfrutaba cuidar de sus nietos, brindándoles cariño, atención y un amor incondicional. Le gustaba cocinar, preparando alimentos que reunían a la familia, y también encontraba tranquilidad y alegría en la jardinería, cuidando sus plantas con la misma dedicación con la que cuidaba a sus seres queridos.

Petra será siempre recordada por su bondad, fortaleza y espíritu generoso. Su amor y su legado vivirán eternamente en las generaciones que dejó atrás.

Le sobreviven su esposo, Enrique Perez; sus hijas, Erika Duree y Estela Faulk (Michael); su hijo, Luis Enrique Perez (Marlene); sus nietos, Aaron Jonathan Duree, Estela Wendy Nickels, James George Faulk IV, David Sean Faulk, Franco Baruch Perez y Erza Sarahi Perez; así como sus bisnietos, Autumn Rosa Clayton y Lucas James Clayton.

Petra fue precedida en la muerte por su padre, Luis Carrizales; su madre, Hermila Trejo; y sus hermanas, Rosalba Villafranca y Hortencia Carrizales.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo en la Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, ubicada en 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. La visitación se realizará en la Capilla del Angel el 4 de enero de 2026, comenzando a las 12:00 pm y extendiéndose hasta las 12:00 pm del día siguiente. El servicio de capilla tendrá lugar el 5 de enero de 2026 a las 10:00 am, seguido del entierro en el Buena Vista Burial Park, situado en 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, a las 11:00 am.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Petra Estela Perez, who left this world on December 30, 2025, at the age of 69. Petra was born on April 21, 1956, and resided in Brownsville, Texas.

Petra was married for 50 years with her husband Enrique Perez, a testament to her commitment, love, and dedication to her family.

She took great joy in caring for her grandchildren, always offering them comfort, guidance, and unconditional love. Petra had a passion for cooking, lovingly preparing meals that brought family together, and she also found peace and happiness in gardening, nurturing plants just as she nurtured those around her.

Petra’s kindness, strength, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her. Her legacy of love lives on through the generations she helped shape.

She is survived by her husband, Enrique Perez; her daughters, Erika Duree and Estela Faulk (Michael); her son, Luis Enrique Perez (Marlene); her grandchildren, Aaron Jonathan Duree, Estela Wendy Nickels, James George Faulk IV, David Sean Faulk, Franco Baruch Perez, and Erza Sarahi Perez; as well as her great-grandchildren, Autumn Rosa Clayton and Lucas James Clayton.

Petra was preceded in death by her father, Luis Carrizales; her mother, Hermila Trejo; and her sisters, Rosalba Villafranca and Hortencia Carrizales.

Funeral services will be held at the Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, located at 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. Visitation will take place in the Chapel of the Angel on January 4, 2026, starting at 12:00 pm and extending until 12:00 pm the following day. The chapel service will be held on January 5, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by the burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, located at 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, at 11:00 am.

Petra will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.
