Rey received a bachelor of arts degree in law-enforcement from The University of Brownsville campus. He also served in the sheriff department before entering The United States Postal Office, and retired after 36 years of services. He also served in the United States Army for three years. He served 1970 to 1973.
Reynerio was preceded in death by his father Jose Alejandro Cisneros† and his mother Rosa Hilda Saenz Cisneros†; his grandchild Michael A. Cisneros†.
Reynerio is survived by his wife, Sylvia Cisneros; his daughter Patricia A. Cisneros; his daughter Veronica Alejandra Cisneros; his daughter Delilah R. Cisneros; his son Isaac R. Cisneros; his daughter Valuary Cisneros; and his son Alexander Cisneros; his sister Rosie Torres, his brother Jose Cisneros, his sister Pauline Benavides, his brother Hector Cisneros and his sister Laura Cisneros; his grandchild Andrew Garcia, his grandchild Desi D. Garza Loera, his grandchild Victoria R. Garcia and his great grandchild Madison A. Loera.
He is also survived by extended family and friends.
A visitation for Reynerio will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:00am with a rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A continued visitation will be held March 16, 2023 from 12:00 AM to 9:30 AM in Chapel of Peace. A mass will occur Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 1055 Military Road, Brownsville, TX. Followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
