

Art Borrego graduated in 1968 from Brownsville High School; he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Art owned and operated Harry Sexton Marine Electric. He loved to bowl, watch his favorite team “Dallas Cowboys” and loved to bar-b-que with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father: Modesto Borrego Lerma, mother: Beatriz Garza Borrego, brothers: Juan Manuel Borrego, Modesto G. Borrego, Reynaldo Juan Borrego, Adalberto Borrego and George E. Borrego and sister: Maria del Carmen Borrego.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife: Socorro (Coco) Sosa Borrego, sons: Roberto A. Borrego Jr., Carlos X. (Sara M.) Borrego, sisters: Beatrice (Mario+) Gutierrez, Rosalinda (Ted+) Rinehart, Maria R. (John) Cavazos, sisters-in-law: Dora Borrego, Domitila (Tila) Borrego, Victoria (Vicky) Borrego and Corina Borrego, grandchild: Carlos X. Borrego Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 11am to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Mass will take place on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 2pm at Our Lady Of Guadalupe, followed by committal service at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers for Art will be: Carlos X. Borrego, Marco Antonio Borrego, Miguel del Bosque, Reynaldo Borrego, Modesto (Tato) Ayala, Bradley M. Freeman Jr, Reynaldo Treviño, and Ernest Gorena. Honorary Pallbearers: Mario A. Gutierrez, Roberto A. Borrego Jr, Ernesto Gamez Jr, Mike Ramirez and Rene Borrego.
