

Roberto lived in Gary, Indiana and settled in Brownsville in 1968. He was the original owner of Bob’s Body Shop, now known as Kollision King, and Bob’s Stop and Shop. He taught Auto Body Shop at Homer Hanna High School. He along with others were responsible for making the original “B” that still stands in the front of Hanna High. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by parents, Jesus Castanon Rangel and Manuela Castanon Torres; his son, Arturo Castanon.
He is survived by loving wife of 56 years, Catarina Fernandez Castanon; his sons, Victor M. Castanon, Roberto Castanon, Jr. (Leslie), Hector Castanon (Alexandra); his grandchildren, Victor Castanon, Jr., Leslie J. Castanon, Christopher I. Castanon, Robin C. Castanon, Jordan A. Castanon, Robert N. Castanon, Jasmin C. Castanon, Victoria A. Castanon, Arturo Castonon, Jr., Joe Izack Castanon and Catarina J. Castanon.
Visitation will be held from 2 pm to 9pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
On Wednesday, June 1, 2011, we will meet at St. Luke Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell Drive, Brownsville, Texas at 2 pm for the Mass of Resurrection.
