Santana was born on February 8, 1965, the sixth child of Cirilo and Camila Garcia. He excelled as a carpenter, a cook and in his inherited shrimp net repair skills. He was a perfectionist in all the jobs he tackled. His remolding skills were like none other. His results impeccable! This applied to his passion for cooking as well. There was no dish he couldn’t prepare with absolute dominance. He was an award-winner when it came to creating/repairing shrimp nets, a skill passed down from his father, Cirilo. His favorite relaxing hobbies were fishing, playing pool and poker cards.
Santana was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He married his young love Blanca Esthela and they shared almost thirty-eight years of marriage. Out of the fruit of their love, came three beautiful children and seven grandchildren. Together they formed a loving, caring, very social family. When you were in his company it was guaranteed that you were going to have a great time while being very well fed and entertained by his comedic conversations. There could never be a dull moment when in his company. He was a jokester, generous, thoughtful, giving, protector, a provider. He was a man of great faith. He often shared testimony of his answered prayers. He had an amazing memory which fueled his detailed story-telling ability. For all these reasons and many more, he was greatly loved, will be greatly missed and never ever forgotten.
