Servelia R. Garcia, age 80, of Brownsville, TX surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, warmth, and unwavering devotion.
Born on December 15, 1944, in Mexico, Servelia lived a full and beautiful life grounded in love for her family. She was the proud and devoted mother of four sons,Jose Alonso Garcia, Eduardo Garcia, Adriel Garcia, and Javier Garcia, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her love extended deeply to her 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, whom she cherished with all her heart. Her presence was the steady light in their lives—a source of comfort, guidance, and unconditional love.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jose B. Garcia.
By her side for many years was her faithful dog, Tony, a loyal companion and constant friend. Together, they shared many quiet moments and happy memories that brought joy to her days.
Servelia had a heart for adventure. She loved traveling, especially to her favorite city, San Antonio, Texas, and enjoyed exploring the diverse beauty of many Mexican states. She also delighted in the excitement of Las Vegas, where she could often be found enjoying the slot machines with her signature sparkle and spirit.
Known for her kindness, resilience, and warmth, Servelia leaves behind not just memories, but a lasting legacy of love and strength that will live on through those who were blessed to know her.
Family and friends are invited to honor Servelia’s life during a visitation on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM that evening. Funeral services will continue with a chapel service on Monday, September 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Buena Vista Burial Park at 11:00 AM, located at 5 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX.
Though our hearts are broken, we find peace knowing Servelia was surrounded by those who loved her most in her final moments and she is finally reunited with the love of her life. Her memory will remain forever in our hearts.
