She was born in Veracruz Mexico in 1940. She worked at Levi's company for many years. After leaving Levis, she worked at home as a seamstress making creations for close family and friends. Susana enjoyed gardening, bingo, poker, crab fishing and cooking for her family.
Susana was preceded in death by her mother: Maria Hernandez; her brothers and sister: Lucas, Cixto, Monica Hernandez and her beloved son, Alejandro Carrillo.
Susana is survived by her sons: Abelardo (Patricia) Rodriguez, Alfredo (Marina) Carrillo and daughter-in-law: Sonia Carrillo
She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Rebecca (Gus) Barrera, Raquel (Joe) Carrillo-Davila, Alejandro Jr Carrillo, Joshua (Aundrea Herrera, Anabel Rodriguez, Erika Carrillo, Alfredo Carrillo, Angelica Toscano, David Reyna and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Susana will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM with Holy Rosary at 7 pm in Chapel of Angels, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Texas 44512. A chapel service will occur Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Chapel of Angels, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. A Burial will occur Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78526.
