He is preceded in death by his parents, Rosenda and Alvarado Garza.

Mr. Garza is survived by his wife, Cipriana Garza; children, Nelda A. Barnett, Ofelia Lagunes, Josefina Flores, Rosenda Garza, Valentin Garza Jr. and Graciela Garza; grandchildren, Crystal, Barnett, Christine Barnett, Nelda Barnett, Caroline Barnett, Reyna Hernandez, Rosa Valerie Garza, Danielle R. Barnett, Imelda Moreno, Briana Lagunes, Rosita Lagunes, Michael Lagunes, Briana Lagunes, Jose Ubaldo Flores Jr., Rogelio Garcia, Nallely Garcia, Christopher Garza, Valentin Garza III, Stacy Garza, Ashley Garza, Ricardo Trejo Jr., Giselle Trejo, Candace Rangel and Andrew Trejo; great-grandchidlren, Deseray Diaz, Shelly Sanchez, Katlyn Sanchez, Alyssa Sanchez, Benjamine Barnett, Jesus Hernandez Jr. and Destinee Rodriguez; sons-in-law, Dale R. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 12noon – 9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Funeral Mass will be held Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 1200 E. Lincoln with committal service follow to Buena Vista Burial Park.
