He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Neena; daughters, Linda Carslake, Judy Roberts and Wendy Van Wagner; loving stepdaughters Belinda Buddrus (Jim) and Amanda Hawn; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a loving sister, Barbara Cantinieri.
Walter had a long career as an aviation mechanic, primarily with TWA in Kansas City, Mo. He retired 14 years ago and made Brownsville his home for seven years. Walter was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. with a chapel service at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
