

Aletha Ruth Novosad, 85, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on April 22, 2010. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. The funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April
25, 2010, in Wheelock Cemetery, Wheelock, Texas 77882.
She was born February 2, 1925, in Normangee, Texas, the daughter of Clarence and Letha Cole. Ruth worked for Texas A&M University for 26 years, and retired in 1990. She continued to live in Bryan, Texas before moving to Georgetown to be near her grandsons. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Georgetown.
Ruth’s family, friends, and caregivers will miss her delightful sense of humor and her gentle and charming nature. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, relative and friend. She retained her lifelong love of dancing and dominoes, and everyone considered her a true sweetheart.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; and her husbands, Edwin L. Novosad and Edward Paul Saunders, also by her son, James Cole Novosad.
She is survived by her son, Tom Novosad of Houston; and her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Richard Anderson of Georgetown; and grandsons, Kevin Anderson of Austin and Christopher Anderson of West Chester, Pa.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Wesleyan Homes or Wesleyan Hospice in Georgetown.
