Andrea Frances Schlett

Andrea was born on June 24th, 1946 to Stephen and Marie Filo in Detroit, MI, immediately bringing joy and laughter into the world. Andrea went on to graduate from Holy Cross Catholic School in 1964. After graduating from high school, Andrea attended Business College in Port Huron, MI.

On May 18th, 1968, she married Frank Schlett and together they went on to have two children. Around 1980 Andrea and Frank moved from Michigan to Texas. Andrea's last job before retirement was working in the Cardiology Department at Scott and White in College Station, Andrea retired in 2010.

Andrea spent her retired years spending time with her children and grandchildren . She traveled several miles to watch and cheer on her grandchildren while they played ball. She was their biggest fan. Andrea had many adventures and near death experiences at the hands of her family, such as white water rafting in Tennessee, and ATV riding in the mountains of Colorado. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Andrea is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents, Stephen and Marie Filo; her brother, Tom Filo; her sisters Barb (Tony) Pizzo, and Marie (Mel) Cross. She is survived by her son Frank (Susan) Schlett; Daughter, Melanie (Robert) Costello; Grandson, Stephen (Laina) Schlett; Granddaughter, Skylar Schlett; her Brothers, Mike (Vicky) Filo; Steve (Jane) Filo; John (Jan) Filo; her sisters, Judy (Gary) Allen; Margie (Bill) Wright; sister in law Terry Filo, and several nieces and Nephews.

A visitation for Andrea will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1515 South College Avenue, Bryan, Texas 77801. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Chapel.
