Barbara was a light to all who knew her. Her greatest joys in life were gardening, her faith, children and healthy living.
As a substitute teacher, she found deep fulfillment in teaching; pouring her love into the children she encountered. Always making it fun for the young ones with pictures and stories and games.
She especially cherished her grandchildren. Her eyes would light up whenever her family gathered. She delighted in drawing them outdoors to explore nature—catching frogs and lizards or teaching them while tending to her beautiful gardens. Her yard was truly the envy of the neighborhood.
Deeply spiritual, Barbara’s love for the Lord was the foundation of her life. Her faith was active and evident in everything she did. Her church was a second home, and her pastoral team and friends became a second family to her.
As an early naturopath in the 80’s, she was always ahead of the curve; gaining certifications to diagnose and treat others naturally with herbs and supplements. Healthy eating, juicing and grounding were her mainstay long before they became mainstream.
Barbara was an also an accomplished seamstress, even from her youth, making and creating beautiful clothing, draperies, comforters and decorative pillows for herself and others. Her home was a showcase for her talents.
Barbara will be remembered for her bright eyes, warm hugs, heartfelt prayers, beautiful gardens, and her enduring love of children. Her legacy of faith, love and joy will live on in all who knew and loved her.
