

Beatrice “Betty” Kay Cash Tanner, a lifelong resident of Bryan, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025. A proud graduate of SFA High School in 1966, she later completed her studies at McKenzie Baldwin School of Business in Houston. Throughout her professional life, Betty contributed her talents to City National Bank, Tanner’s Dairy Queen, and Anco Insurance, where she eventually retired.
A devoted member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan, Betty was also an active participant and leader in the Altar Society, a group that held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Cash, Sr. and Katie Viola Cash. Betty is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Paula Tanner of Austin, Jennifer Green of Bryan, and Terri Roewe of Abilene; her brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Mary Cash of Bryan; and her sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and Mike McMullen of The Woodlands. Her cherished grandchildren—Gregory Duke, Carlton Duke, Madelyn Green, Ryan Duke, Tysne Green, Andrew Duke, and Shannon Roewe—were the joys of her life.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, Altar Society rosary will be at 4:30 pm followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Betty’s memory to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church or the St. Anthony’s Altar Society.
