

Billie Anne Norris Overman Taylor was born a sixth generation Texan in the family home in Waco, Texas on October 12, 1937 to William Isaac Norris, Jr. and G. Marguerite (Weathers) Norris. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Visitation will be at 1:00 PM, Monday – October 23, 2023 with service following at Memorial Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM at 1515 South College Avenue in Bryan, TX. Interment will follow at the Steep Hollow Cemetery in Bryan, Texas.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bryan and the Order of the Eastern Star Bryan Chapter No. 222.
While growing up in Waco, Texas, she made a profession of faith at the age of twelve years and was baptized at the Seventh and James Baptist Church in Waco. After several active church memberships across the state, in 1970 she joined her final church home: First Baptist Church of Bryan, Texas.
She was employed as receptionist & bookkeeper for twenty years with the law firm of Gandy, Mauro, Caperton, Rodgers, Miller, Ellison, Holt & McLain, P.C. in Bryan, Texas. Not only were they employers but soon became family and precious friends to her. She always looked forward to monthly lunches with “The Office Girls”.
From her first marriage of twenty-four years came three precious daughters: Margie, Debbie and Karen. From her second marriage of thirty-three years to her best friend and the love of her life: Carroll Bennett Taylor came three very special step-children: Patti, David and Laura.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carroll Bennett Taylor of Bryan, her mother, G. Marguerite Hathaway, her father, William Isaac Norris, Jr., her grandparents, Ollie & Bertie Weathers, her grandson, Matthew Von Gruben, her son-in-law Timothy Wayne Hightower and brother-in-law, David Michael Ray.
She is survived by her children, Margie Mariott of Bryan, Texas and her daughter Mitzi Mariott Pampell and her husband Jeramy and their children, Ava Grace and Jack. Also, son Coulter Mariott and his wife Bridget and their daughter, Penelope and son Baker. Debbie Payne-Hightower of Bryan and her son Eddie Payne and his son Conner of Bryan, and her son Bryan Payne of Bryan, Texas. Karen Dickson and her husband Joe of Austin, Texas and her sons, Daniel Gruben and his wife Heather and step-son Jayden of Santa Fe, Texas, and William Gruben and his wife Alicia and their daughter Kaylie and son Weston of Abilene, Texas. Her step-children, Patti Taylor Skalaban and husband Ted, and children Ashley Parcus and husband Kyle, son Hudson and daughter Kennedy and step-grandchildren Cooper and Paige of Richmond, Texas, and Casey Skalaban and his wife Callie and their daughter Colbie of Bryan, Texas.
