Donna Guy Francis

Donna Guy Francis, 50, went home to be with the Lord on Friday September 3, 2010 at home surrounded by her family and close friends. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, Texas from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday September 6th. Following a private burial, a service celebrating her life will be held at Central Baptist Church in Bryan, on Tuesday September 7th at 2:00 p.m. Donna was a true blue sports fan, rooting from the stands as a mother, wife, and friend. Donna will be deeply missed for her willingness to put others before herself. She lived with a servant’s heart for her caregivers, co-workers, friends and family. Also, as a supporter, contributor and beneficiary she was closely involved with Brazos Valley Cancer Society and Relay for Life. Early in her life Donna worked through the Texas A&M University System, was Mother’s Day Out Director at Central Baptist Church, Front Office Assistant for Dr. Royal Benson III and most recently at BCS Heart Professional Building. Donna is preceded in death by her grandparents and brother, Monty Guy. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Harry L. Francis Jr., her 2 children, Nichole LeAnn and Trey Robert Francis; parents, R. Don and Jo Ann Guy of Denison, Texas; sister-in-law, Maria Flack, of Bryan; sister, Christie “Critter” Hill; brother-in-law, Stephen Hill; niece and nephew, Baily Ann and Chance Stephen Hill, of McKinney, TX, brother and sister-in-law, Glenn Alan and Kyleen Francis; and nieces, Kimberly Danelle and Kristen Michelle Francis of Lebanon, OH. Also, least we forget her closest fourlegged companions, Brady Jo and Bubba Joe Francis, Gabriel, Moon Shadow and Dungy (Donna’s Dauchsh). On behalf of Donna and the family, we deeply appreciate the care and compassion shown by the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and Hospice Brazos Valley. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to The American Cancer Society and the Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
